International day for the remembrance of the slave trade and it's abolition

On sunday the 23rd August, International day for the remembrance of the slave trade and it's abolition. IT'S NOT OVER YET and still continues to this day, the least we can do is share about why this is still happening and how? Next Sunday speak out, tell your friends, family and congregation. Share the amazing story of grace and what we can do....

  1. Thanks Jess, i watched Illegal NZ last week which was about illegal workers in NZ- one of the common mistakes that we make adn that this programme pointed out is that people who set up work through a contractor overseas often are exploited and dont get their promises fulfilled- Its not a case of us having 'overstayers' or 'illegal immigrants'- often these people are exploited, have been tricked and are at the hands of people who simply dont care. IT was great to see this issue in that light that these peopele are in vaunrable position and them themselves are not taking advantage of our system. Its good to understand! I hope we can really combat this stuff... the programme didnt give any real answers- but its clear this issue is in our communities
